I was flattered when one of my customers from last year came back and ordered another creature. Ashlyn drew the
"Bug Monster" (pictured below) last summer and it is about time that this monster has a girlfriend!
I sold the "twin" to the bug monster at Odd Duck back in April so I don't have it around to make sure that the girlfriend was the same size. I typically don't make patterns for these creatures, I just draw right onto the fabric if I need to line something out. I used the picture above as a size reference so hopefully they are at least the same
general size.
I adore the mouth on this creature. I think I'm gonna use a variation of it on one of my dolls that I'm planning for the
Atomic Holiday Bazaar in December.
I don't have the "twin" up in the shop yet mainly because she isn't finished! Ashlyn's birthday is coming up shortly and in order to make sure that I got it shipped to her in time, I abandoned the twin and only worked on the one. Hoping to finish it up this week and get it in the shop soon.
